Menu for the week of 23 May 2011
The “rules” of our household diet can be found in the tab above labeled Hallee’s Galley and further explained in Our Diet.
I usually serve leftovers for lunch the next day, or we’ll save them during the week to graze lunch on the weekends. One meal a week, we eat whatever we want. This is usually our “Dinner Out” meal.
Almost all of the breads are homemade using fresh milled flour. I’ll continue to link to my recipes as I post them. Our daily bread is Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal Bread.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of May 23rd. As far as desserts go, I will be making Jeb a small birthday cake (for just our family – we are having a big combo-birthday for both boys next month). I’ll probably do a Yummy Yellow cake, Ambrosial Buttercream Frosting, and let him pick a special sprinkle for it. I have to also do a birthday cake for a friend’s daughter. She’s wanting a unicorn cake with ice cream in the middle. I’ll keep you updated with that one. Kaylee is having a party Friday night. See the menu for all of the fun treats planned for that one.

I ABSOLUTELY love your french bread recipe. I’ve made it several times, and my family gobbles it up every time. Do you think I could make it into bread bowls?
Definitely! http://www.halleethehomemaker.com/2010/02/whole-wheat-bread-bowls/
I love homemade potato chips. I just got a deep fryer last week and should try making them :)
I don’t think my kids will ever go back to store bought chips again.
