Homemade Pasta – So Easy a Four-Year-Old Can Do It

When I fired up my stand mixer to make this dough into fettuccine noodles to go with the Turkey Sausage Spaghetti Sauce I’d made, my 4-year-old, Jeb, came running into the room. He wanted to help. He’s a pro at the pasta machine (as all my kids are), so I just let him go at it and filmed it. This is unscripted, and impromptu, so I apologize for the unsteady camera and the lighting.

Italian Ground Beef Skillet

This is a quick pasta sauce that every member of our family will love. The kale is a wonderful source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as omega 3 and omega 6. You can use any kind of pasta you want when making this dish. It takes very little time to make, and using grass-fed beef and organic vegetables it’s still barely $3 per person.

Spinach Lasagna

This is one of my favorite lasagna recipes. It is extremely simple and so easy to make. I love the fact that you don’t have to cook the noodles beforehand, which makes it much less labor intensive and easier to put together. The lack of meat in the recipe makes it a perfect recipe during Lent as well.
