Italian Ground Beef Skillet
Italian Ground Beef Skillet
This is a quick pasta sauce that every member of our family will love. The kale is a wonderful source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as omega 3 and omega 6. You can use any kind of pasta you want when making this dish. It takes very little time to make, and using grass-fed beef and organic vegetables it’s still barely $3 per person.
1 pound grass-fed beef
1 TBS Italian seasoning
1 medium onion
1 green bell pepper
8 oil-packed sundried tomatoes
1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 bunch lacinato kale
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 pound whole wheat pasta
sharp knife/cutting board
measuring cups/spoons
sharp knife/skillet
pot and collander
Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions.
Chop the onion, green pepper, and garlic.
Slice the tomatoes in very thin slices.
Slice the kale, removing the tough stems.
Brown beef with the Italian seasoning, onion, green pepper, and the oil-packed sundried tomatoes.
Add the diced tomatoes, kale, and chopped garlic.
Toss with the cooked and drained pasta.
