Menu for the week of 12 December 2011
The “rules” of our household diet can be found in the tab above labeled Hallee’s Galley and further explained in Our Diet.
I usually serve leftovers for lunch the next day, or we’ll save them during the week to graze lunch on the weekends. One meal a week, we eat whatever we want. This is usually our “Dinner Out” meal.
Almost all of the breads are homemade using fresh milled flour. I’ll continue to link to my recipes as I post them. Our daily bread is Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal Bread.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of December 12th. As far as desserts go, it’s Gregg’s birthday on Friday, and he has requested a red velvet roll — much like Stacy’s Pumpkin Roll. I will also begin my Christmas Baking.

Happy Birthday Gregg!
Yummy! I can’t wait to try your bread recipe :) What grain mill do you use? I use the attachment on my KitchenAid and I’m having challenges getting it find enough.
I use a Nutrimill. We LOVE LOVE it — I would highly recommend it.
Here is a post about it: http://www.halleethehomemaker.com/2010/02/fresh-milled-flour/
And here is a post about grinding popcorn for cornmeal: http://www.halleethehomemaker.com/2010/09/popcorn-really/
Thanks :) I’m going to keep playing with my attachment (we are saving up to complete our adoption and ever penny counts!), but after we bring our daughter home I’ll totally be investing in one!
I saw a pic of your large wall calendar somewhere on this blog and have been looking for one. You’d think it would be simple, but I can’t seem to find that type of large 12 month view calendar where you can write stuff in. Where do you buy yours?
I get mine at Office Depot. It’s similar to this one: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/164409/AT-A-GLANCE-30percent-Recycled-Yearly/ But mine is not recycled.
