Cajun Ground Beef Skillet
Cajun Ground Beef Skillet
This is a wonderful recipe with a hint of kick. If you have pre-prepared rice, it’s a quick fix. But remember – the rice will take 45 minutes to cook so try to plan ahead a little bit.
1 lb. lean ground grass-fed beef
1½ tsp salt-free MSG-free Cajun/Creole seasoning
1 medium onion
2 celery stalks
1 sweet red bell pepper
1½ tsp salt-free MSG-free Cajun/Creole seasoning
4 cups cooked Perfect Brown Rice
1 can (15 oz.) rinsed and drained kidney beans
1 tsp salt-free MSG-free Cajun/Creole seasoning
skillet
sharp knife/cutting board
measuring cups/spoons
Chop the onion. Thinly slice the celery and the bell pepper.
Prepare the rice.
Brown beef with 1½ tsp of the Cajun/Creole seasoning. Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and 1½ tsp more of the salt-free Cajun/Creole seasoning.
Cook until the veggies are tender.
Toss with 4 cups cooked brown rice, rinsed and drained kidney beans, and 1 more tsp of the salt-free Cajun/Creole seasoning.
Heat through and serve.
