Yesterday, my 13-year-old daughter, Kaylee, and I were at a store buying some essentials to put into a care package for my husband (who is in Afghanistan). While we were there, I stopped by the large magazine rack to see if there were any fitness magazines that he might want or need (he is about to launch a fitness blog). Kaylee asked if she could get a fashion magazine. She is extremely interested in fashion and has even made noises about maybe becoming a fashion designer (the fashion industry could really use a Christian influence – heh.) Before I realized it, she had a copy of Cosmopolitan in her hand. Right on the front cover was: The Sex Quiz You Must Take.

I thought about what to do for the week. I could find time to do status updates. I could just post some pictures as the week goes on. I could send little tidbits as they occurred to me. All of those things I could, and may yet, do. However, in order to plan my week so that it is as worrisome free and as relaxing as possible, I’ve decided to re-run a very early series I did on Feminine Appeal, Seven Virtues of a Godly Wife and Mother by Carolyn Mahaney.
To aid you in your Christmas baking this year, we are giving away a Wilton Cookie Pro!
I have one and I LOVE it. I use it to make Chocolate Wreath Cookies and Butter Wreath Cookies for Christmas time. Once you have a whole pan of cookies, you can dip them in chocolate or white chocolate, sprinkle them, frost them, or just eat them as they cool.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of November 29th. As far as desserts go, My husband’s birthday is in 2 weeks. I’m going to prepare his birthday box, and include Heavenly Red Velvet Cake mini cupcakes and some Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies (not stuffed). In the meantime, our cookie jar is getting low, so I’ll probably make some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies (which I strangely don’t have a recipe up for and will rectify that soon!)
Pin ItMy husband is a very social person. He can chat with strangers over any subject matter for hours and never bat an eye. He can work a room at a party or banquet and enjoy meeting new people, catching up with old acquaintances, and find something in common with just about anyone. But he has very few very close friends.
