Irish Ground Beef Skillet
This is an easy, quick skillet dinner that provides a different taste than the normal macaroni casserole. It is also extremely affordable – $3.73 per serving.

1 lb. lean ground grass-fed beef
1 medium onion
½ cup lager or pilsner beer
2 cups sliced organic green cabbage
4 large potatoes
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

sharp knife/cutting board
skillet
measuring cups/spoons

Chop onion.
Slice cabbage in thin strips.
Shred cheese.
Bake potatoes.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef with the onion.
Add the beer.
Add the cabbage and cook until cabbage wilts.
Spoon over the baked potatoes and top each with ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese.

Is there celery in this dish? I thought that I saw some in the picture, but the recipe doesn’t call for any.
There very easily can be, but the original recipe did not call for it.
