Here’s the menu for my family for the week of May 24th. I am entering week 2 of combining the strict following of the Abs Diet for Women menu plan (well, strict in the sense of measurements, less strict in the sense of how it’s prepared and seasoned) performing the Walking the Walk: Getting Fit With Faith journal and exercise regimen, pulling some meals from there when I’m faced with shellfish or pork in the Abs Diet menu. Other than a Saturday night banquet where I indulged in my weakness, cake, I did good last week. Let’s ignore the fact that I have to make chocolate cupcakes for a birthday party today.

Here’s the menu for my family for the week of May 17th. This is something different this week. While working on the Power of a Praying Wife last week, I was convicted that I need to work on my physical health and fitness. I eat extremely healthy meals, but I have a problem with portion control. Couple that with my love of all things cake and my lack of focused exercise this winter, I gained too much weight.
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of May 10th. As far as desserts go, Scott has been asking for some brownies, and since I need to send my husband a care package, I’ll make a double batch. After the Easy Cheesy Chili Empanaditas I made last week, I’ve been hungry for some turnovers, so we’re going to make some apple turnovers, too. I’ll post that recipe when I get them made.
I’m catering a lunch on Saturday this week that I’m really excited about. The church where I used to attend has put together a team of cosmetologist volunteers who will be doing hair, makeup, and nails for underprivileged high school girls for prom night. They asked me to cater lunch for the volunteers and the girls. I haven’t put a menu together yet, but I will be posting the menu and the recipes when I get it together.

As far as desserts go, my niece and sister-in-law will be in town, so I’ll definitely do something chocolate, and preferably flour-free (my sister-in-law suffers from a wheat allergy.) I’ve never done one of those flour-free cakes, but if you have a good recipe, I’d love to try it!
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of April 19th. As far as desserts go, I saw an amazing coconut cake recipe that I want to make with a fresh coconut.
Pin ItWe are traveling to Florida this week. I plan to pack sausage biscuits for breakfast and a picnic lunch for the drive down, so that we can avoid any fast food restaurants. Hopefully, the weather will be nice and we can stop and picnic at a rest area, giving the boys a chance to stretch their legs and play a bit.
