I’m a big fan of simple is better. Since Gregg’s favorite cake is red velvet cake, I’ve tried many cream cheese frosting recipes seeking the best one. This recipe, with its four simple ingredients, is the best I’ve ever found. It’s light, creamy, and beyond delicious.Pin It
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of March 7th. As far as desserts go, my cookie jar sat empty for so long that I finally removed it from the counter, and my husband hasn’t had homemade cookies from me in WEEKS. Consequently, I’m declaring this week to be cookie week. My husband is getting Oatmeal Raisin Cinnamon Chip Cookies, and my kids are getting Whole Wheat Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. That jar will be refilled! It’s also Kaylee’s birthday party Saturday. She wants a tiered zebra striped cake. This oughta be fun. :-)Pin It
I try to keep chocolate chip cookies in our cookie jar all the time. My kids love them. Sometimes I’ll spread them into a jelly roll pan and cut them into bar cookies, other times I make traditional cookies. I love them with pecans or walnuts. Molasses keeps them chewy and gives them a more brown sugar flavor than most recipes.Pin It
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of February 20th. As far as desserts go, I’m going to make the kids a Deep Dark Chocolate Cake (HOW have I not posted that recipe yet? I will rectify that asap!) and will just have a container of whipped cream in the fridge to top it with as they get a slice!Pin It
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of December 27th. As far as desserts go, we still have some Captain Crunch Candy and some fudge left, but the cookie jar is empty. I will probably make some easy cookie to fill the jar and use the left over marshmallow cream and Rice Crispies from the goodies I made last week and make some Rice Crispies treats. We’ll also make a celebration New Year’s 2011 cake.Pin It
To aid you in your Christmas baking this year, we are giving away a Wilton Cookie Pro!
I have one and I LOVE it. I use it to make Chocolate Wreath Cookies and Butter Wreath Cookies for Christmas time. Once you have a whole pan of cookies, you can dip them in chocolate or white chocolate, sprinkle them, frost them, or just eat them as they cool.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of November 29th. As far as desserts go, My husband’s birthday is in 2 weeks. I’m going to prepare his birthday box, and include Heavenly Red Velvet Cake mini cupcakes and some Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies (not stuffed). In the meantime, our cookie jar is getting low, so I’ll probably make some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies (which I strangely don’t have a recipe up for and will rectify that soon!)Pin It
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of November 22nd. As far as desserts go, we are traveling this week, so I will be washing the cookie jar in that last load of dishes and putting the cake plate away. We’ll come back next week with 4 weeks of Christmas Baking – so don’t miss that!
Ever since the first time I used a fresh pumpkin, I’ve much preferred that over canned pumpkin. I have not yet come across a pumpkin recipe that I wasn’t able to use the fresh pumpkin in lieu of canned. This pie turned out beautifully and cooked perfectly. I used whole wheat flour and coconut oil to make the crust.Pin It
