Here’s the menu for my family for the week of August 8th. As far as desserts go, school starts this week, and Kaylee has requested miniature Cars 2 cakelettes for her first day of school lunch. Her little brother is desperate to make some, and I think that she’s accommodating him. So, we’ll be making some mini-cakes out of Yummy Yellow Cake. I’ll probably also make some Doodleroo’s Snickerdoodles as well.

I have had the hardest time coming up with a two-year blog-iversary post for tomorrow (August 9th). I’ve thought of and rejected dozens of ideas. Nothing seems “it”.
Then I thought – I’ll do a question-answer! That will be fun! And, if I get too many questions for tomorrow’s post, I’ll just make other blog posts about them!
The fallacy of the question-begging epithet is committed when an arguer tries to evoke an emotional response that is meant to persuade others of a point that is logically questionable.
Pin ItThe before dinner devotions are open – it will be whatever my husband or I determines will be discussed at that time. During breakfast, however, we have a set Bible reading.
Pin ItWe updated our Wordpress yesterday, and one of the side effects was that it no longer gives a warning – it simply does NOT post. You don’t even know it didn’t post. I discovered that thinking I was giving people duplicate entries on the giveaway post. If someone hadn’t asked me where their duplicate entry was, I wouldn’t have known.
I’d never planned to have any children with my first husband. We struggled financially without children, and nothing about his lifestyle really was conducive to having a child or rearing a child. I had to work full time, had no choice but to work full time, and that didn’t sit well with me in having a child. But, God saw things differently than I did.
Several years ago, I found corn on the cob on sale. It was a fantastic sale – enough for me, who wasn’t so much into preserving at the time, buy as much as I could afford. I went home and called my grandma and said, “Now what?”
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of August 1st. As far as desserts go, my sister and her kids are in town! I’m so excited. I’m going to fill the cookie jar with some Oatmeal Raisin Cinnamon Chip Cookies this morning. I’ve harvested six pumpkins out of my garden, so I’ll be making a Fresh Pumpkin Pie while canning the pumpkin.
