Spring Has Sprung!

Well, actually it officially sprang Sunday, but this was the first available date for this post.

I love every season as it approaches. I enjoy snow and winter, I enjoy heat and summer, I enjoy harvesting my garden and autumn…so WHY am I so excited about spring this year?

Monday Morning Survey

I’d love it if every single person reading this post will reply. I know I have an incredibly diverse readership, and I’d love to see what people have to say. It will take you less than two minutes to reply. I’m researching public opinion for a post I’m writing for April 1st at Seeds of Faith.

Menu Monday 21 MAR 2011

Here’s the menu for my family for the week of March 21st. Last week, I told you that our church is taking part in a call to 40 days of fasting and prayer. I told you that I’d decided to do a Daniel Fast throughout the 40-days, but I changed my mind. I absolutely did not feel led to begin a Daniel Fast. Instead, I will be participating in the fasting in a different way. I will update you as that happens.

Kaylee’s softball season begins today. She has a game every single night this week, and every night most weeks until the season ends. Our meals are going to be portable for the away games, allowing the boys to eat on our way to the games.

What Matters Most

One thing I hear all the time is that people’s lifestyles are so crazy and there isn’t time to spend with God. The thought of just fifteen minutes of devoted prayer time and a five minute “Sound Byte” devotional is overwhelming to many, not to speak of hours of devoted prayer time and hours of devoted Bible study. Yet, the average American adult spends 3-4 hours a day watching television.

Spring Cleaning: A Room at a Time

If you look at your entire house, the thought of spring cleaning can be a little daunting. I mean, the thought of keeping it clean on a daily or weekly basis can be daunting, much less the extra work involved in a seasonal cleaning.

I find that the best way to do it is to take a room at a time. I may or may not do it all in one day or one weekend, but if I have a plan of action for each room, and I actually start working, then it will get done. Once one room is fully spring cleaned, I can’t wait to get to the next room and the next until I know my house is as clean and fresh as it can be.
