You can cut these steak fry size or quarter small sweet potatoes. Since my husband ensures that I have every kitchen gadget known to man, I have a commercial strength french fry cutter. Cutting sweet potatoes down to regular french fry size is very tasty. The large cut is perfect. When you get it just right, they are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yummy!
Pin ItAs I cooked and thought of all of these things, I wondered if my friend felt this deluge of emotions as she enters the final stretch in her pregnancy. If this moment means so much more to her now that she’s suffered such horrible loss this year. Not to say that the child will mean more than her daughter, but the knowledge of the journey garnered, for me at least, a greater appreciation for just how big this blessing from God is.
Flavorful, friendly refried bean dip seasoned with garlic, peppers, and cumin. You make these in your slow-cooker so they are healthy and delicious.
Pin ItThis meal is a favorite of everyone in my family, and is so simple and SO economical that I’ve linked it to $5 Dinners.
Pin ItFilling up the entire side of my fridge, is my life. I can stand back, with my back against the wall, and see the entire year laid out in front of me. I see upcoming birthdays, doctor appointments, days of my husband’s flight home (YAY!), days school gets out, days I need to bake bread for the church bazaar — whatever is coming up is right there.
Here’s the menu plan for my family for the week of Monday, 16 November 2009. This menu is a tribute to the Twilight series and the premier of the film, NEW MOON, which my 12 year old daughter much appreciates.
Pin ItMy kids love homemade pizza. They do not enjoy typical takeout or deli pizzas at all. This crust is just right and makes the pizza as good as it is.
Pin ItIf I were a Darwinist, I would have the uncanny mental ability to ignore logic and facts that refute my theory of creation absent a Creator. In that case, I could focus exclusively on evidence that supports my theory and cling to that evidence with religious zeal and fervor.
In order to understand the Darwinist methodology, one must first understand some basic rules of the scientific process. Good science is simple. Good science is observable. Good science is predictive (models reality) and makes many specific, correct predictions. Good science relies upon very few assumptions and no arbitrary assumptions.
