This recipe is so easy to make, and is such a beautiful side dish to almost any sandwich. We love this kind of side for our game night dinners when we tend to go with Turkey Burgers or Root Beer Barbecued Beef Sandwiches.

All week this week, when I’ve listened to a Christian radio station, the DJ’s have been asking people to call in and give the best advice their fathers gave them. Every time I heard the question, I thought about all of the counsel my father has given me over the years. But, one thing in particular stood out time and time again.

My daughter, Kaylee, spent the second semester of seventh grade living with her father in Florida. My boys and I went to spend Spring Break with her. In our beach house, we had cable – something we don’t have at home. Kaylee insisted that I watch a show with her about sweet sixteen birthday parties for young up and coming divas that she’d been watching at his house.

It occurred to her at that second that she hadn’t forgiven him or them. She resented their presence in her life, their part in her husband’s destruction, their very existence. And to think that she would have to spend eternity with them, that they would in their dirty sinful life be deserving of the same rewards as she was after she lived such a righteous and godly life made her angry.

I used to think the term “repentance” was the entire package of what a Christian was to do. Likely because of pop culture political cartoons or caricatures with some sign or caption in them about “repent and be saved!” So, in my mind, repentance meant confession of sins and turning away from sins while accepting Jesus Christ into your life and heart all at the same time.

The truth is that we were all created in God’s image. We did not come about as a result of mathematically impossible chance and accident. Mutation is the current placeholder in the current secular humanist world view until a better naturalistic, materialistic explanation can be hypothesized. For now, it is the best they have, and it is extremely weak.

The director over the entire group put a hand to her chest and said, “Doesn’t it just break your heart?”
To which I replied, “It might, if she hadn’t practiced that for two hours today. She used a hand mirror and once she got the face right, she used a mirror in her room and watched herself walk away with several angles. She’s been waiting for an opportunity to do it all night and knew she couldn’t sit with me.”

The logical claim is that less evolved “lower” life forms become more evolved “higher” life forms by means of the mechanisms of Neo-Darwinism — namely: mutation and natural selection.

In the final analysis, mutations don’t help Darwinian theory at all. There are three major limiting factors that preclude scientific extrapolation from mutational change to evolutionary change on a Darwinian scale.
