When I Grow Up, I Want to Be a Mom, Part 2

Not long ago, my husband, Gregg, and I were just chit chatting about life in general. At some point in the conversation, he said to me, “What are you going to do when both of the boys are in school?”

I kind of paused, then stuttered. “Uhhh, what do you mean?”

He said, “You know. What do you plan to do?”

Creation: The Wonderful Stories

Posted by Gregg on May 15, 2011 in apologetics, Christian Faith, Creation, homeschooling

Just as in the days before Darwin, thousands of scientists in recent times, and hundreds of thousands of laymen, have concluded that the Biblical framework is the more logical inference based on scientific evidence and observations.

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be a Mom, Part I

Posted by Hallee on May 7, 2011 in Biblical womanhood, Christian Faith, converstations

I have been mentally working on a post on this topic for some time. It’s always kind of been there, in the background, but several months ago, I was blog surfing and came across a blog called Homemaking on a Whim and a post titled, “Is Working Outside the Home a Sin?” The title kind of threw me off guard, and I dug a little deeper into it, finding the reference to another series of articles on a blog called Courageous Homemaking.

The Power of a Praying Wife: Chapter 24 – His Talk

Posted by Hallee on Apr 30, 2011 in Christian Faith, Prayer, Praying Wife

I worked in the construction industry for twelve years. For twelve years, I was surrounded, day in and day out, with men working in a man’s environment. The language that was peppered throughout my place of employment on a daily basis would make a sailor blush. It was such a part of my daily life that I didn’t even hear it. There was one man with whom I worked who could use a curse word five times in a sentence: as the noun, adjective, adverb, pronoun, and verb. It was nearly comical.

Serve One Another in Love

Posted by Hallee on Apr 28, 2011 in Christian Faith, Life, missions, Prayer

So, at the end of the day I was obnoxious all day long with the camera but will start all over again on a “normal” day instead of a crazy day.

But then I realized what I did have – an inside look at the soup kitchen. I thought, what a gem.

Creation: Resurrection Sunday

Posted by Gregg on Apr 24, 2011 in apologetics, Christian Faith, Creation

The price has been paid. The empty tomb is the proof of this truth. We have only but to embrace the truth, and we will experience a love that passes our ability to comprehend because that love for us is infinite and eternal. That love for us that comes from our immortal, eternal, infinite Creator.

Revisiting Eostre and Her Bunny

Posted by Hallee on Apr 19, 2011 in apologetics, Christian Faith, holiness, inspiration, Life, Parenting

Now here we are at Easter again. The very basis for our faith, for our lives, is that Jesus Christ paid the payment for our sins by suffering and dying on the cross, was buried in a tomb and resurrected on the third day, then He ascended into Heaven and sits at Father God’s right hand. That is the core of everything we believe, the reason we live the way we live, and our message to the world.

Creation: “ME ME” or Serve Others?

Posted by Gregg on Apr 17, 2011 in apologetics, Christian Faith, Creation, homeschooling

I observe just how pervasive Darwinism has become in the Christian culture. So many Christian blogs host MEMES without even knowing the origin of the word or understanding the concept MEMEs represent, a concept that advocates materialism in opposition to the Biblical God.

Hooking Up, Shacking Up, & Other Marriage Busters

Posted by Hallee on Apr 16, 2011 in Christian Faith, converstations, Marriage, Sex

Right after my first wedding, my ex-husband and I visited his brother and one of my bridesmaids. They had recently moved to another town in Florida. They’d been living together for about eighteen months. I had weddings on my mind and asked her when they were getting married. She said, “Oh, we’re never getting married.”
