We’ve broken off from the norm since August and are listening to the testimonies of various women in the church. So far, I don’t think any of the women have been members of the class. This has been an amazing and wonderful journey for me.

My husband and I went through a spiritual revival about 18 months ago. Part of that revival was cleaning out what we take in. I don’t mean food. I mean all of our sensory input: television, movies, games, music, internet, radio, etc. We stopped consuming sin, in a way to quit condoning so much sin in our culture.

In observing the diet, I will eat only vegetables, fruits, and unleavened bread that does not contain any ingredient that is not made directly from a vegetable or fruit. For instance, I am going to make tortillas out of fresh ground flour and coconut oil (instead of shortening or beef tallow). When I make a salad, I’ll flavor it with olive oil (cold pressed) and lemon juice. I will only drink water. I will allow my kids to eat dairy, but I likely will not be preparing meat for them.

The week after Gregg and I were married, his unit – a Special Forces unit out of Birmingham, Alabama – went to do a joint something something within the United States. He was gone for about 2 months. When they returned, almost immediately, they shipped off to Afghanistan.

This chapter thoroughly touches on all areas of media, from magazine articles to lyrics in music, to television shows and commercials, and how these areas in our lives continually and constantly sexually objectify women. You can’t watch a college football game without a scantily clad model touting a beer brand. You can’t watch a crime show on television without a scene in a bar with naked pole dancers kissing each other.

During an airborne operation, my husband, Gregg, discovered that he was allergic to fire ants. He parachuted out of a plane and landed on a fire ant bed. He was bitten several times, resulting in his body producing massive amounts of histamines that started to send him into anaphylaxis. After taking a dose of Benadryl, we both still thought maybe he should go to the emergency room, just in case.

Must evolutionary science, from time to time, simply fake evidence, commit fraud, perpetrate hoaxes — lie? Why is that? Why stage so-called evidence when none exists? Why fill in the blanks of all of the unknowns with pure speculation? Why lie? Why perpetrate fraud? Why commit hoaxes?
