Call for Testimonies
I have a book brewing. I’ve been a full time homemaker, I’ve managed a blog and been a homemaker, I’ve worked a full time out of the home job 50-hours a week, and I’ve worked a full time in the home job that requires travel and weekends.
So, I’ve kind of run the gamut of all sorts of roles, and have the depth of experience in managing a home while fulfilling those roles.
I’m going to write a book about managing a home with tips, tricks, encouragement, etc., from all of those angles. It’s still brewing. It won’t be until after summer before I can work on it (unless other things go faster than I expect.) But, I’d like to include testimonies from other wives/moms/homemakers out there who manage their home and other aspects of their lives.
Think of these questions, and send me your responses or testimonies:
(1) Do you work a paying job in the home or out of the home?
(2) Do you manage a business or ministry from your home?
(3) How many children do you have?
(4) What has been your greatest challenge in managing your home?
(5) What has been your greatest reward in managing your home?
If you’d like to be part of this project, please send me the answers to these questions and ANY testimony you have pertaining to homemaking. You can leave it as a comment to this blog post or email me at: hallee@halleethehomemaker.com. It will help with filtering if you put “homemaking testimony” in the subject line. I get a lot of mail.
Thank you!

1) Do you work a paying job in the home or out of the home?
I work several paying jobs IN the home and 2 out of the home.
I also work a non-paying job – homeschooling in the home
(2) Do you manage a business or ministry from your home?
Quite a bit of my in-home work is my business with no name –
blog, editing, VA work, and contract work as a culinary marketing
strategist for a company.
(3) How many children do you have? 3
(4) What has been your greatest challenge in managing your home?
Doing it all. I manage to accomplish everything else if I let the
house slip.
(5) What has been your greatest reward in managing your home?
I manage home poorly so I can’t really think of a reward to
be honest with you.
I would say I NEED this book. I have to figure out how to make it all work. A big part is finding the organizational schedule/plan that works for me, getting us all on it and sticking to it.
