Month: April 2010
One second after it dies, an animal still has all its chemicals, proteins, fatty acids, enzymes, codes, and all the rest. But it no longer has life. Scientists cannot produce life; why then should they expect rocks and seawater to have that ability?
Pin ItEach week on The Local Cook, Wendy will post an article with Scripture, selected readings from Simply in Season, commentary from a guest poster, questions for reflection, and an activity or challenge for readers to complete in order to eat more locally and in season! She is also offering weekly giveaways.
This is a wonderful dish to serve summer company. There is minimal cleanup, it feels and tastes like summer, and you cannot beat the flavor combination.
Pin ItI am SO excited to be participating in the 5 Minutes for Mom Ultimate Blog Party. Having the opportunity to meet so many other bloggers is extremely exciting! I love parties. I love mingling, networking, trading business cards, admiring shoes. So, if you’re here visiting from another blog, and attending this Party, it’s wonderful to meet you. I’m Hallee Bridgeman. Here is my card:
If you are entertaining mixed palettes, this meal will satisfy all tastes. The lack of dairy or meat in this chili makes it a perfect meal during a Daniel Fast or Lent.
Pin ItIn this post, I will discuss the Fallacy of the Weak Analogy, sometimes called the Fallacy of the Questionable Analogy and sometimes mistakenly called a False Analogy.
Pin ItRadishes used to be part of the meal, but lately seem to be relegated to color in green salads. This is such a quick dinner that is a different blend of tastes than the “norm” and utilizes radishes to their fullest extent. If you’re looking for something new to try, seeking out a new family favorite, you found it here.
Pin ItI have a blogger friend, Christy, whose blog is called Tales of the Toot. This woman is AMAZING. Her son, Aiden, has an ultra rare condition called typical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (AHUS) (read about Aiden on his website here). While I whine about losing sleep because I have two boys who have never slept well, she loses sleep because she has to get up and check Aiden’s dialysis machine all night long.
