Shopping at the mall Thanksgiving weekend, I saw a sight that broke my heart. A little girl of approximately six or seven years old in pigtails and Mary Janes was sitting on the ledge of a store’s window front. She was all innocence and bubblegum bubbles, and was laughing at a baby in a stroller. In the window above her head was a Victoria’s Secret model, looking up with a seductive look at the camera above her, that looked down the exposed cleavage of the barely covered up breasts, her torso bare down to a very skimpy pair of panties.

While shopping in Abu Dhabi with Gregg, we came across this purse. Gregg saw it first and directed my attention to it, then convinced me to purchase it. Back story: I LOVE purses. But, since I no longer work a job that requires me to dress up in business suits and leave the house every day, I refrain from feeding what Gregg calls my “purse fetish”. Well, I try to refrain. heh. Anyway, he convinced me to buy it because it matched my set.
The other day, Scott asked for a snow-day for school. Even though it was a sunny 60 degrees, we decided to make snowmen for a craft.
I didn’t have any cotton balls. I figured we’d just cut circles out of construction paper. But, in the search for cotton balls, I found these!
That year, for Christmas, he got an “Any Soldier” box. It was addressed to “any soldier who doesn’t have a living grandma.” It was filled with socks and treats and was from a grandma who thought that someone might need some grandma love.

I have one and I LOVE it. I use it to make Chocolate Wreath Cookies and Butter Wreath Cookies for Christmas time. Once you have a whole pan of cookies, you can dip them in chocolate or white chocolate, sprinkle them, frost them, or just eat them as they cool.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of November 29th. As far as desserts go, My husband’s birthday is in 2 weeks. I’m going to prepare his birthday box, and include Heavenly Red Velvet Cake mini cupcakes and some Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies (not stuffed). In the meantime, our cookie jar is getting low, so I’ll probably make some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies (which I strangely don’t have a recipe up for and will rectify that soon!)

My husband is a very social person. He can chat with strangers over any subject matter for hours and never bat an eye. He can work a room at a party or banquet and enjoy meeting new people, catching up with old acquaintances, and find something in common with just about anyone. But he has very few very close friends.
