There are numerous facts that tend to point to the conclusion that our world is quite young. This post will focus on some of the evidences from beneath the surface.
Pin ItFallacies from relevance attempt to derail the point by bringing irrelevancies into the debate. In this post, I discuss the faulty appeal to force and the Argumentum Tu Quo.
Pin ItVast amounts of time don’t prove Darwinism, but if the earth is quite young, that directly refutes Darwinism. This post continues to present facts about the age of the earth looking at evidence from our atmosphere and from our globe itself.
Pin ItI documented evidence from comets, meteors and meteorites, our fellow planets in our solar system, and our sun. All of the empirical evidence suggests that the earth cannot be billions or even millions of years old. There are an astonishing number of factual evidences that our world is quite young.
Pin ItI tried to think of ways to make a glass armonica, a furnace, reaching claw, and a flexible urinary catheter. I found that these tutorials although might prove amusing to me and to those who read this would not prove useful to most people performing cupcakery. Somehow a ‘congrats on passing the kidney stone’ cupcake just didn’t feel quite right. I did feel however the kite could easily be used for a spring party or a birthday party and the glasses could be a fun addition to an ‘over the hill’ party. Hope I haven’t embarrassed myself too much and I do hope that I get to show off more complicated cupcakery in the future, but these were fun, educational, and hey darn tasty too!
Pin ItMy friend Natalee agreed to do a guest blog for me while my husband and I ran away for a romantic weekend alone. When looking at the dates for the weekend, we discovered that one of the days fell on Benjamin Franklin’s birthday. As a tribute to this American icon, Natalee created a recipe using only ingredients that were found in Mr. Franklin’s time. She then decorated them in brilliant ways to show off Mr. Franklin’s contributions to history and culture. The post showing how to decorate them can be found here. This is a wonderful recipe to do with your children as a homeschooling aid.
Pin ItA fallacy from relevance occurs when the response to an argument is not relevant to the argument. They ignore the point and attempt to derail the argument by bringing irrelevancies into the debate. In this post, I will discuss the faulty appeal to envy, the faulty appeal to pity, and the faulty appeal to authority.
Pin ItAs I said last Sunday, vast amounts of time don’t prove Darwinism. However, short amounts of time, young ages, directly refute Darwinism. Today, I will continue to present some facts about the age of the earth and the universe in which we exist. While opinions can vary pretty vastly, the fact is that there are numerous factual evidences that our world is quite young.
Pin ItFallacies from relevance ignore the point at hand and attempt to derail the argument by bringing irrelevancies into the arena of the debate. In this post, I will discuss the Argumentum ad Populum and the Appeal to Tradition.
