Reading Without Editing

Wednesday and Thursday last week, I re-read Topaz Heat — book 3 of the Jewel Trilogy. I’d finished the rough draft of it several weeks ago and just tabled it, because I felt like “something” was missing – I just couldn’t really get a grasp on what that “something” was.

Menu Monday 05 MAR 12

Today I begin a 40-day juice fast. But, it’s not really a “pure” juice fast. I’ll be drinking smoothies, and I’m contemplating eating some homemade vegetable soup. I haven’t fully decided. But, I’m not going to spend a lot of time talking about it here. It’s not really something like a Daniel Fast that requires teaching and recipe aids. I’ll be using a juicer and juicing anything I can– carrots, apples, spinach, kale, citrus, ginger.

My family is not fasting with me, so I’ll be posting our regular meals for you.

Don’t forget to check out my new author blog, Hallee Bridgeman. I’ll be announcing the release of my new Christian romance, Sapphire Ice in the next few weeks!

On Turning 40

Earlier this week, my Facebook status was, “I turn 40 this week. And that’s all I have to say about that.”

A reply from someone was, “It’s better than the alternative.”

Well said, friend. I even found a t-shirt that expresses that very sentiment for me perfectly.

Creation: Question Evolution Campaign — 8 of 15

Asexual reproduction gives up to twice as much reproductive success (‘fitness’) for the same resources as sexual reproduction, so how could the latter ever gain enough advantage to be selected? And how could mere physics and chemistry invent the complementary apparatuses needed at the same time (non-intelligent processes cannot plan for future coordination of male and female organs).
