On Turning 40
Earlier this week, my Facebook status was, “I turn 40 this week. And that’s all I have to say about that.”
A reply from someone was, “It’s better than the alternative.”
Well said, friend. I even found a t-shirt that expresses that very sentiment for me perfectly.
Heh.
And, of course I’m joking. Sort of … considering the two near death experiences family members refer to as my last two pregnancies.
Gregg and I were married the year I turned 30. Looking back at the last 10 years and how much I love my life and my family, I am excited to see what God has in store for me for the next 10 years. I have an exciting announcement coming soon that will give you an indication of some plans for our future.
God bless you all. Thank you for being a part of my life and for sharing this special day with me.

HAHA – Congratulations! I pray many blessings on your pregnancy.
Happy Birthday! Praying you have a wonderful day. :)
Wanted to take the time to wish you happy birthday. Your writing is special to me and I wanted to thank-you for all the gifts you share with all of us. I just turned 50 this year. It feels like my best decade EVER!! The chief Blonde! Hope your decade is SUPER!!!
Happy Birthday! I think I agonized over being 40 for much of my 39th year. I have 4 months left of being 40 and I am enjoying it for the most part. It’s freeing in a way. Part of me is sad that I most likely will never be pregnant again, but I get to enjoy being “Auntie” and honorary Grandma to other babies. Enjoy your day!
