This is the re-make of a recipe that called for processed food. Instead of cream of chicken soup and biscuit mix, I made everything from scratch. It was DELICIOUS. And, it was QUICK, and EASY. I had all of the elements put together in 10 minutes. Dinner was on the table 30 minutes later.

In my post about cancer awareness month, I encouraged everyone to order a free breast self exam shower card here and to use it. Select a day once a month to do a self-exam. I also encouraged everyone to find a buddy and remind each other to do your breast exams.
Pin ItI had my first book signing on Saturday at Bethany Book Room for the paperback release of Sapphire Ice. It was so much fun. I was incredibly apprehensive leading up to it, but I am not a “small talk” kind of person. I’m great in a chat room or an instant message window – but not at networking and socializing. So, going into it was a little bit nerve wracking. Until that morning when I sought strength and found this verse:
I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Pin ItRestaurants can face fines if it’s discovered that they dispose of grease improperly. But restaurants are just part of the problem. I never poured grease down the kitchen sink simply because long ago in my early adulthood, I clogged the sink up with cooking grease. But, until I took this class, I didn’t think twice about flushing grease down the toilet. However, the water from the toilet goes to the same place as the water from my sink, and it flows through pipes and will clog just as easily as it did in my own personal kitchen sink all those years ago.
