Pin ItMy puppy, Cybil, is obsessed with our food. She snatches it out of kids’ hands, off of the counter, off of the table – it’s a constant fight to keep her down and away from food. I thought that maybe making her dog food out of our leftovers would break her obsession. It did work some, but not entirely, but there has been an improvement. Nevertheless, I’ve made the homemade dog food part of our daily routine. Both of the dogs clean their bowls every time. I had at one time thought to replace the dry dog food I buy entirely; however, I really just supplement with the homemade.
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of April 11th. As far as desserts go, the weather is remarkably warmer than when I left for spring break, so I’m going to pull out the ice cream maker and make some maple ice cream. I also need to fill the cookie jar with something yummy, and get some Oatmeal Raisin Cinnamon Chip Cookies in the mail to Gregg. I’m making dinner for Kaylee’s softball team Wednesday night, so I’m also going to make several batches of Delectable Deluxe Brownies. We also have four softball games this week, so I’m trying to at least make the protein of the dinner portable for Kaylee to grab and eat in the 30-45 minutes she has from the time she gets home from school to the time she has to be at the softball field.
Pin ItOne may think that a worldview can be intellectually set aside so that objective thought, analysis, and experimentation can occur, thus yielding valid, cogent, sound conclusions via the scientific process. Sadly, this is not the case. Darwinism corrupts the scientific process and inhibits logical thought.
Pin ItIt took me quite some time to decide what to write about for this chapter in Vicki Courtney’s 5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter, and the introduction to conversation number 4: It’s OK to Dream About Marriage and Motherhood! Chapter 14, “The Anti-Marriage Agenda” listed all sorts of statistics and social thoughts about marriage and the state of marriage today. They were interesting, but not overly surprising. Less people get married today than they did 40 years ago, and they’re getting married much later in life than they did 40 years ago. I think that is obvious and I don’t need to rehash it all.
Pin ItFor those of you who took the time to respond to my Monday Morning Survey questions I and II, I just want to say thank you so much. Your answers were so thoughtfully presented. I REALLY enjoyed a different way to get to know some of you.
