Chocolaty Reindeer Cupcakes
Make a batch of Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Frost your cupcakes. Make sure your assistant doesn’t get any on his white turtleneck (even though it appears that mine got some on his chin.)
Fill a decorating bag with the chocolate frosting. Use the large star tip. (I used #22, but you don’t have to be bound to that.)
Make an inverted triangle with rounded corners.
Fill it in. Neatness is not important.
Add a large star.
Put a red hot on the star.
Take a chocolate covered pretzel and cut the top off.
Place, cut side up, on the wide part of the triangle.
Place min-chocolate chips upside down for the eyes.
Reindeer cupcakes.
These go great with Santa cupcakes. I make them together.

I’m sorry I didn’t respond to this — I meant to.
Actually, these were in some homemaking magazine a few years ago, without cut pretzels. When I went to make them, the first pretzel I pulled out of the bag was broken, and it looked more like “antlers” than the full ones, so I just went from there.
