Despite the convenience of this glowing screen in front of me to communicate in an instant, or within a minute or fourteen minutes with my husband, there is still absolutely nothing like receiving a letter in the mail.
It’s awesome. If I’m thinking about something and I’m driving, I can just give him a quick call and have a one-sided conversation. The kids call and tell him goodnight or good morning. If I want to just have some connection with him, I call and listen to his voice on the message then leave him a message.
One of the first things she asked me was what I was doing. I told her I was a homemaker in a small town in Kentucky, married to the most amazing man in the world and mother to three absolutely wonderful children. Her reaction puzzled me and hurt me at the same time.
In it we learned, among many other things, that Gregg’s love language is giving gifts. Lucky me, you might be thinking. :) However, my love language is not receiving gifts, so he’s still forced to step outside of his comfort zone. But that doesn’t stop him from raining the love down on me in his way.
A true wife makes a man’s life nobler, stronger, grander, by the omnipotence of her love, turning all the forces of manhood upward and heavenward.
Love Life for Every Married Couple author Dr. Ed Wheat, provided an acronym to describe his method of strengthening and improving a married relationship.
