Here’s the menu for my family for the week of July 4th. As far as desserts go, we’re going to make some Traditional Sugar Cookies cut out in star shapes for the Independence Day holiday. I’m also going to try some desserts that incorporate squash — because I have a plethora of squash and want to do something other than saute it. We’re leaving for Glen Eden Youth Center on Friday, so I’ll be making some granola bars and cookies to take with us for snacking there.

This wasn’t a typical week for me by any stretch of the imagination. But, I thought that you might enjoy seeing the process that I went through to prepare my home for my husband’s return and to plan for Scott and Johnathan’s combined birthday party, which included out-of-town family being here. So, here it is, one of the craziest weeks of my life. I have determined that I will do this again once school starts and I do have a typical week, so that you can see that I’m not always so insanely overwhelmed with life.
I am at our family’s youth camp, Glen Eden Youth Center, this week. I will be cooking, but I am not in charge of the menu.
Pin ItI have had some questions about the upcoming Bible study based on the book The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian that will begin May 1 so I hope to answer them in this post.If you are in need of a Bible, I beg you to contact me. You have no idea how much it would bless me to put God’s word in your hands.
