I Am Not a People Person

I just flew from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a stop in Paris, France, then returned home on a flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and finally back to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a stop in Amsterdam, Netherlands and another stop in Detroit, Michigan. Twenty-eight total hours flying, about fifteen hours sitting in airports, and crossing the paths of hundreds of people. It occurred to me after this trip, as I was driving home finally, that I am not a people person.

Menu Monday 08 NOV 2010

Here’s the menu for my family for the week of November 8th. As far as desserts go, I am going to begin baking for my husband’s birthday and Christmas baking, so I have some red velvet cookies to make. I also think that I’m going to make some apple turnovers or something similar to post a recipe for your holiday baking planning.

Seeds of Faith: The Friendship Factor

Most of us go into parenting completely oblivious to what is ahead. We think that we will be the best parents on the planet – the ones who always know where their children are and who they’re with. We look at child abductions and crimes against children, drug and alcohol abuse by children, pregnant teens, eating disorders, and think, “Not MY child.”

Revelation

This song is Gregg’s alarm clock. Every morning at 7:00, Kari Jobe’s voice would fill our room. It was a beautiful thing to wake up to, my husband’s arms wrapped around me, listening to this amazing worship song. It made God’s holiness our first thought asnd set the tone for our day.

Essentials: Bread Baking

Notice I didn’t title this “Bread Making”. The components you need to make bread are different for every recipe. Some require heating ingredients, some just require mixing and kneading. For this post, I am only going to talk about pans.
