Wordless Wednesday: The Daddy Bear

The “Daddy Bear” – that thing gets hauled all over the place and is slept with like this every night. The front of the ACU shirt says, “Greetings from Sharana” (Afghanistan) His daddy will be home Saturday. :-)

Wordless Wednesday: Christmas “Eve”

My husband sent this to me. I said, “I don’t get it.”

He said, “Just look at it.”

I said, “I still don’t get it.”

So, he very slowly said, “Christmas….EVE.”

I said, “OHHHHHHH, duh! HAHAHA.”

Christmas Past

When it was much later than Santa probably wanted it to be, we’d pack up and drive home and the four of us would go to bed certain we’d never be able to sleep, and likely were asleep within minutes of laying down.

Christmas Tour of My Home

I’ll be honest with you, I’ve hesitated about doing this post for a while now. I am not a decorator, nor do I pretend to be. I don’t know what to do or how to do it. I can copy what someone else has done, but when I go to copy it, I have a super incredible really hard time spending the money to do it.

Case in point: my husband built the bookshelves and fireplace mantle you’ll see in these pictures in August when he was home for vacation. In August. Most of the shelves are still bare. I just really don’t know what to put on them.

But, in the spirit of the Yule, and in hoping that after I hit the after Christmas mega sales on decorating items, this will bring you a little bit of joy and maybe provide me with a “look how much I improved since last year” post next year. :)

Birthdays & Red Velvet Cookies

Today is my husband Gregg’s birthday. I won’t tell you how old he is, but I might leave you a clue. :-) (Hint: today is the second anniversary of his fortieth birthday.)

Wonderful Pomegranate

My blood pressure dropped so rapidly that for days I ran into walls. I dropped things. My ears rang. Until I got used to the change in pressure, it impacted everything. Once I got used to it, everything was put on an even keel. Then I got pregnant with Jeb.
