I’d always feared that I would come against a giant and my faith would waiver. But, 7 years ago today, I faced a true test of my faith. Instead of waivering, instead of being afraid, instead of not trusting, my faith in God, my trust in God, and my peace grew. I blogged about it 3 years ago on the piece I wrote titled Peace That Passes Understanding.
Year: 2013
I have really been trying to feed my family better. We’ve recently switched to mainly organic foods, when we can afford them. My question comes in an upcoming trip to visit family. We’ll be there around 3 nights and they don’t really eat the way we do. When you travel, how do you eat? Do you just eat what the host fixes, regardless of what’s in it? Do you take food and possibly offend the host? I’m stuck in the fact that I really don’t want to mess up our newly established eating habits, but I also don’t want to offend anybody either. Those of you who have followed this blog and read Gregg’s Creation Posts won’t be surprised to learn that we are lifetime members of The Creation Museum. But, it’s been a busy year with my book writing and releasing and signings, and we haven’t been there since Christmas for their Christmas Town exhibit. So deciding to go there was an easy decision.
Pin ItThe original issue was never resolved; however, it did allow me to create a new project and now, FINALLY, A Melody for James is on Barnes and Noble!
You can get to it at this link: A Melody for James
Thank you for your patience with this!
Pin ItWhile waiting for Man of Steel to start in the theater this weekend, this commercial played:
This commercial is agonizing on so many levels:
Coke Zero is chemically laden crap. I don’t think anyone who reads my blog on any regular basis would be surprised that I feel that way. It really isn’t the point of this post.
Here is yet another “useless, irresponsible” adult male promoted in advertising. The destruction of the American male by media has been a constant onslaught for a few decades now. The less I am exposed to media, the more obvious and infuriating the pattern is.
Video games are proving to actually be damaging to the brain and addictive. Here is a commercial not only NOT denying it, but proving it.
I don’t ever see commercials. Honestly, this one makes me glad that I don’t. I’m absolutely flabbergasted how anyone could think this commercial is promoting something good.
This was our first family vacation that didn’t directly have to do with the military or visiting family that we’ve ever taken. We stayed in a condo on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. We live in central Kentucky, so we faced about an 11-hour drive to get there and we decided to break it into a 2-day trip. We packed a SERIOUS LOT of vacation into the days we were gone.
