Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day! During this time of war, being a military spouse is one of the hardest jobs out there. If our spouse isn’t deployed, we live in a constant state of waiting for the next deployment. So, if you’re a military spouse, THANK YOU.

Have you thought about what you’re going to get your mother for Mother’s Day, or what you want your husband to get you for Mother’s Day?
Flowers are a popular gift. They’re beautiful. And, they smell good. Getting flowers always makes me happy. But, flowers wilt and eventually die.
Chocolate is one of my favorite things on earth. I crave chocolate. My favorite is dark chocolate filled with caramel. YUM. But, as they say, once on the lips, forever…
May I suggest something sparkly this Mother’s Day? How about…
…some Jewels?
Pin ItI’d roasted a turkey on Monday. A few days later, I was up to my eyeballs in edits for my current novel and lost track of time. I was trying to come up with something “quick and easy” for dinner. The problem with that is that I don’t have anything pre-prepared. So, anything I made would need to be MADE. I don’t even think I had any bread so that I could make something like open faced sandwiches.
Then I remembered that there was some Bisquick recipe my mom used to make.
Pin ItThis is the re-make of a recipe that called for processed food. Instead of cream of chicken soup and biscuit mix, I made everything from scratch. It was DELICIOUS. And, it was QUICK, and EASY. I had all of the elements put together in 10 minutes. Dinner was on the table 30 minutes later.
