Stunning

My friend MJ is a stunning photographer. That’s the only word I can use to describe her work. Positively, breathtakingly, stunning.

MJ has graciously, and wonderfully, offered an album of ten prints to me to help me on my fundraising for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk in Boston this July.

Organic Palm Shortening

I’m out so I went on their site last night to order a gallon. I discovered that until Sunday, May 13th, a gallon of palm shortening is just $23.59.

This is seriously too good of a deal not to take advantage.

Mothers’ Day Gift Idea

Have you thought about what you’re going to get your mother for Mother’s Day, or what you want your husband to get you for Mother’s Day?

Flowers are a popular gift. They’re beautiful. And, they smell good. Getting flowers always makes me happy. But, flowers wilt and eventually die.

Chocolate is one of my favorite things on earth. I crave chocolate. My favorite is dark chocolate filled with caramel. YUM. But, as they say, once on the lips, forever…

May I suggest something sparkly this Mother’s Day? How about…

Evolution of a Real Food “Quick & Easy” Recipe

I’d roasted a turkey on Monday. A few days later, I was up to my eyeballs in edits for my current novel and lost track of time. I was trying to come up with something “quick and easy” for dinner. The problem with that is that I don’t have anything pre-prepared. So, anything I made would need to be MADE. I don’t even think I had any bread so that I could make something like open faced sandwiches.

Then I remembered that there was some Bisquick recipe my mom used to make.
