National Marriage Week
February 7-14 is National Marriage Week.
I love this – I love that there is a collaborative focus on marriage. According to the National Marriage Week website, ‘Marriage works. It makes people happier, live longer, and build more economic security. Children with married parents perform better in school. Click here for new research on “Why Marriage Matters: Thirty Conclusions from Social Science.”‘
With this focus on marriage this week, culminating in Valentine’s Day with all sorts of attention on sweethearts and love, think about your marriage and your relationship with your spouse. Have you let that romance ball drop? Is there anything you can do special this week to make him feel special and loved? To let her know how much you appreciate her?
As you have fun this week giving your husband or wife that extra attention or special romance, think about how you can make it last all year long – so that we can develop the habits of making our spouse feel loved and appreciated don’t just get our focus one day or one week – but every day, every week, all year long.
Marriage is a favorite topic of mine. Here is a link to all of my posts I’ve put under the “marriage” category.
