Blender Waffles, Smoothies & Sauces, Oh My!

Gregg called me this weekend and said that I had a surprise coming and he hoped it would be waiting for me when I got home from my parents’ house on Monday.

Monday there was no package waiting.  Tuesday came and went with no package.  Gregg sent me an email Wednesday titled, “Finally!” with the tracking number and information that it would be delivered on Friday.  I have been SOOOO curious as to what was coming.  Gregg has never been good about keeping a surprise secret for very long, and as far as I could tell, he had dropped no hints whatsoever.

This morning, at 9AM, my doorbell rang, and the UPS guy was unloading not one, but four boxes onto my porch.

Kitchenaid!

Two boxes were clearly labeled “Pro Line Waffle Baker.”

We love these machines.  We use them at Hilton hotels all the time.  We have been looking at professional waffle makers for some time.  With three kids, it only makes sense to have two – especially with two of those kids being boys who will become teenaged boys.  Two waffles makers probably won’t keep up with them!

My blender died making Sue’s Oatmeal Blender Waffles.  Smoothies are a staple in my house, and I’ve been making due with my food processor, but they don’t get blended as well or as smoothly as they do in a blender.  What a surprise to find a beautiful blender in the second box!

And a spare pitcher!

There was also a water sleeve for my stand mixer bowl.  You fill it with ice to keep the contents of the bowl cold (like whipped cream), or hot water to keep them hot (like mashed potatoes.)

AND another cookbook!  A pink ribbon cookbook!  On the cover, it says, “Find out how to host a pink ribbon fundraiser dinner party,” so I will definitely be checking that out.

What a wonderful, amazing series of gifts from my awesome husband.  And, I was surprised.  I had no idea what was coming.

I love and adore you, Gregg.  Thank you!
