Here is my monthly reminder to you guys, my buddies. Please remember to do monthly self exam. The earlier detection, the more likely a positive outcome.
Pin ItMy house has been the sick house this week. We were in Chicago on vacation, and the day after we got home, my daughter came home from school complaining of a sore throat. By that night, her temperature had spiked. The next morning, my son woke up lethargic and throwing up.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be over 192,000 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in 2009. Perhaps one of them will be you, or your mother, or your favorite aunt.

Thanks to a lot of prayer, and a lot of competent and caring nurses and doctors, and an awful lot of research into birth defects, premature births, and still-births funded by the March of Dimes, all of our children have the opportunity to live normal, healthy lives.
