Veterans’ Day. World War I ended with the implementation of an armistice between the Allies and Germany at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of November, 1918.
Listening to a Christian radio station several years ago, we heard a movie review followed by the tag line, “for more reviews, go to pluggedinonline.com.” I was sitting at my computer at the time and opened it up. As I did, one of my favorite resources as a parent opened onto my computer screen.
My house has been the sick house this week. We were in Chicago on vacation, and the day after we got home, my daughter came home from school complaining of a sore throat. By that night, her temperature had spiked. The next morning, my son woke up lethargic and throwing up.
In the course of the last year, we’ve been working on giving it ALL to God, to make our entire lives – as individuals, as a married couple, and as a family – over to God and over to what He would have us do for Him, so that whatever we do will be used to glorify Him.
Gregg and I recently made a commitment as a couple and as a family to get out of debt. We have a number of motivating factors for this, but our primary motivation is because the less money we’re paying out to interest payments or what have you, the more we have to help further God’s kingdom.
