I LOVE mindless entertainment. It relaxes me and frees my mind from the constant thinking, planning, creating. It gives me a bit of a break, sometimes an hour, sometimes two — the more thrilling, the better. A good movie preview will even give me chills. Date nights revolve around movie releases. It’s silly, but I am completely okay with that.
Yesterday, on the Focus on the Family blog, the post title was “What Do You Think About The Hunger Games?” It posed the question, “Would you permit your son or daughter to watch if they wanted to? Why – or why not?”Pin It
Day 7: Your Favorite Movie
It is impossible for me to answer this question with just one movie. I’ve never been able to pinpoint “just one”. I love movies. I love really good movies with really clever dialogue and really great actors. I love fun action movies. I love thrillers that make you think. I love sagas. I love war movies.
So, here are a few that immediately came to mind and started warring with me as “favorite”: (and quite honestly, I’m curious about what might be revealed about my personality with this list – ha!)Pin It
Here’s my recommendation to my (mostly) female readers: take your husband to see this movie. Arrange child care, tell him he has a hot date tonight, and go see this movie. Then have him take some friends, and have him take his teenaged sons or his brother or his father. The men in America need to see this movie and they need to rise up to the challenges presented within it.
