Cajun Style Beef Wrap

I love this wrap, because using steak as a meat in it gives lunch a little facelift from the normal turkey or tuna. This is a great source of protein, which helps Kaylee get through her day since she eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning. It tastes fantastic, and is packed full of all sorts of good vitamins and minerals.

Tip: Saving Money On Yeast

I make all of my bread homemade. About a month into making this commitment, it occurred to me that yeast, the way I was purchasing it, isn’t cheap. On sale, it seems like I could find the three-envelops of yeast for about $1.10. Sopapilla means “little pillow” and can be used in a savory dish much like a tortilla or a pita bread. For this dish, I used them as a breakfast bread and drizzled them with honey. They were beyond amazing. A wonderful breakfast to kick of a Cinco de Mayo celebration.

This was my first attempt at flour tortillas, and they were perfect. They felt right, they handled right, and they tasted wonderful. I’m so pleased.

Granny Everman’s Yeast Rolls

These rolls are a favorite whenever they are served. My husband’s cousin Patti usually makes them in large batches for the youth camp we support every year. They are light and delicious and keep well for days.
