Two years ago, I put candles in my fireplace because I’m not overly comfortable with the heat of a fire right below where we have our television. Here is a picture of the finished product:

It was just a hodgepodge collection of candles and holders.  I just gave the fireplace a facelift. Gregg and I hit Pier One’s after Christmas clearance section and found some really beautiful candle holders.

I like this much better. The first one looked pretty when they were all lit, but it looked sloppy and unorganized during the day.  This looks nice either way.  I’m very pleased with the result.

But, I do miss my fireplace.  I definitely want to look into insulating the back of my television so that we can have a fire again.
