The Power of a Praying Wife: Chapter 19 – His Past

Gregg and I were married when he was 34. In those 34 years leading up to meeting me, he had buried his mother, graduated high school, fought in a war, got out of the military, attended three colleges, obtained 30 professional certifications, started a career, gotten married, gotten divorced, and lived another five years dating and working and existing.

Long story short, he’d lived thirty-four years.

Blizzard Bloghop

For those of you who read me who are not in the “blogging world”, this weekend is a huge blogging conference called Blissdom. Some of us couldn’t go because an ocean separates them from Nashville, some of us chose not to go because we just met up with our husbands in Kuwait while he took a vacation from Afghanistan last week and we thought the stress of Mommy going away for another whole weekend would be too much for our toddlers, and some of us just couldn’t go.

It’s a Party!

My house is in a state of “too much traveling in too short of a time” chaos. In an effort to help me in the only way that he can from so far away, my awesome husband took the initiative and posted four amazing and healthy pizza recipes so that I can take the week “off” and get caught up with life. And because he is much more diligent about details than me, you’re even getting nutritional information in these recipes!

Menu Monday 24 JAN 11

Here’s the menu for my family for the week of January 24th. For most of January, I’ve been traveling or recovering from traveling. As I type this, it’s Monday morning and I’m tired of eating out (and gaining weight), scrambling to get one suitcase unpacked and laundry done in order to get another suitcase packed, and desperate to get my household back on schedule. I have no plans to travel until at least the first weekend in March, and at best the first week of April. I need to make granola bars (which, in searching for the recipe to link for you, I strangely do not have one – that will be corrected as soon as possible), my whole wheat crackers jar is empty, and the cake plate is barren. My household is in a bit of disarray, but this week will correct that and the future will maintain that.
