Thanksgiving Table Settings: The Main Table

I needed to keep the centerpiece simple with the main table, because I’d rather put food on the table than flowers or candles.

What I found worked perfectly.  Individual candle holders in all sorts of sizes.  They can be spread out to fill more of the table, or they can be brought together if there is room needed.

Then I just took a garland of fall leaves and berries and wrapped it around the base of the candles.

For the place setting, I used a round place mat.

I found some gold chargers.  They bring out the gold paint in the candle holders.  I decided to go with gold instead of rust or another fall colored because I can use them for Christmas, or even St. Patricks Day if I wanted to get formal with some gold and green.

I just topped the charger with an off-white plate.

I used a gold napkin holder to help bring out the gold in the candle holder and the gold of the chargers.

My dessert plates matched the kids’ table and the main table.

I really liked the look of the whole thing put together.
