Moroccan Menu on the Fly

Posted by Hallee on Oct 31, 2009 in fellowship, Hallee's Galley, menus & menu planning, Recipes

I had some friends over for dinner last night. I’m not as good at entertaining people as my husband is. I’m much better at cooking and serving a meal while I listen to him entertaining and interacting with people (heh). But cooking for people is what I love to do, and even though he’s gone, he encourages me to still have people over.

We Can Bake It! Yes We Can!

This would be a WONDERFUL family project – a way to give back to those who have — and are — sacrificing so much and a way to open up the door to talk about things happening in our world and our wonderful military with your children.

Giving God the Effort

Posted by Hallee on Sep 13, 2009 in Biblical womanhood, Christian Faith, holiness, Prayer

I believe God loves the effort of more for Him. I think He wants us to make worship for Him special, remarkable, beautiful, ceremonial. If we can do that without becoming legalistic, if we keep the focus on how we’re worshiping the Alpha and Omega, our Savior, Messiah, Redeemer, and friend, then the effort ought to be nothing but pleasing to God.

Girls’ Night Out (In)

Posted by Hallee on Aug 13, 2009 in Biblical womanhood, Christian Faith

White Chili, Chocolate Cake, & Faith Like Potatoes. My friends would arrive less than three hours from the time that I held the four frozen solid pieces of chicken. I plopped the meat in the big stock pot, covered them with water, and proceeded to make white chili.
