Our family’s walk is this Saturday

This Saturday, our family will walk a 3-mile walk for the March of Dimes. We have been raising money for this walk to donate to the March of Dimes, a very personal charity for us.

The mission of March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

Kaylee:

My beautiful daughter, Kaylee, was born just a bit early and with a birth-defect called Horner’s Syndrome.

Scott:

My eldest son, Scott, was born by emergency C-Section at just over 30 weeks. His due-date birthday is the 21st of this month. He weighed a whopping 3 pounds and 5 ounces at birth.

He proceeded to lose and gain back precious ounces while spending the next month of his life in the NICU and PICU.

Johnathan:

My youngest son, Johnathan, little Jebbie, was also delivered by C-Section at just under 36 weeks and weighed almost twice as much as his big brother.

Johnathan was born with a hole in his left lung. He did very well after spending 10 days in the NICU.

Thank You March of Dimes!

Thanks to a lot of prayer, and a lot of competent and caring nurses and doctors, and an awful lot of research into birth defects, premature births, and still-births funded by the March of Dimes, all of our children have the opportunity to live normal, healthy lives.

If you find it in your heart, please consider making a donation for whatever you can spare to sponsor me in my walk.

Please, just take a minute and visit my site on the March of Dimes page.

Help me meet my goal this year, and help me to help other newborns who came into the world too early, or too little, or with birth defects.

Know that it goes toward a very good cause and know that you have our personal gratitude.
