Last year at this time, Gregg and I were saying that it would be the last Thanksgiving we would be apart. And here we are this year, apart, determined that this will be the last one. God has been gracious and an amazing provider in this time of economic hardship on our country, and we are thankful for the job he has, for the income that he has, and for the continued contracts that come his way while there is nothing much out there otherwise. So while a part of me wants to feel down in the dumps for missing him, I try very hard to stay thankful. Ephesians 5:20 says: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I was very curious about the way Stormie Omartian addressed this chapter. She basically said that if you (the wife) keep your husband a priority, then it will help him keep his priorities straight. Then she spent the chapter explaining how to keep your husband a priority.
Pin ItThere’s a woman I know who is young – maybe 21-years-old or even younger. She has three children by three men and has never been married. She lives with her mother. Her current boyfriend does not live with her, but he does spend the night often. She gambles regularly. And, she is deeply spiritual. You won’t find someone who talks about Jesus Christ more than her.
In the course of our discussing it, we discussed the fact that God has placed the husband as the head of the family. Gregg said, “I am responsible for my choices. If I make a bad decision, God is going to say to me, ‘Why did you make this bad decision?’ If I seek your counsel and take your advice, God is not going to say to you, ‘Why did you give bad advice?’ God is going to say to me, ‘Why did you make this bad decision?'”
A recent comment made it clear to me that I had not covered my reasons for calling Darwinism a religion in enough detail. I will recap those reasons here, for the record, and then continue the series of “Pious Frauds” committed by the Darwinian faithful.
Pin ItCiting Neanderthal as a transitional form between ape and man? The fact is that so called “Neanderthals” were 100% human beings, as human as you or I, who happened to have various perfectly explainable health conditions. Painting them as half-man/half-apes, or a “separately evolved” race of hominids is simply unsubstantiated, misleading, and fraudulent.
Pin ItIf I were the last man on the planet to think so, I would want the honor of saying no woman should go before me into combat to defend my country. A man who endorses women in combat is not pro-woman; he’s a wimp. He should be ashamed. For most of history, in most cultures, he would have been utterly scorned as a coward to promote such an idea. Part of the meaning of manhood as God created us is the sense of responsibility for the safety and welfare of our women.
