I love this wrap, because using steak as a meat in it gives lunch a little facelift from the normal turkey or tuna. This is a great source of protein, which helps Kaylee get through her day since she eats lunch at 10:30 in the morning. It tastes fantastic, and is packed full of all sorts of good vitamins and minerals.

When I did the Daniel Fast last year, I added an extra restriction to myself in that I wouldn’t eat anything with leavening in it. Consequently, I lived on veggie wraps for lunches. They were so filling, and the avocados helped fill me up.
Pin ItKaylee isn’t a huge fan of sandwiches, so I’m always looking for an alternative to a traditional sandwich for her. She also eats lunch at 10:30, and has to make it the rest of the day to 3:30. The higher the protein lunch, the better sustained she’ll be.Gregg loves high protein lunches, and I’m always on the quest for high protein low carbs for him. This wrap is perfect for both of them.

Here’s the menu for my family for the week of August 22nd. As far as desserts go, I’m going to play around with some cookie recipes getting ready for a week of lunch box recipes as schools around the country are starting and gearing up to start. Scott has also asked me a dozen times in the last few days to make him Delectable Deluxe Brownies.
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of August 17th. We pick my husband up tonight at the airport and he is home to stay! From now on, my menus will be for our entire family! As far as desserts go, this week I will be making Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies for my husband, and a batch of Hershey’s Mini-Kisses cookies for Kaylee’s school lunch. I also have a big batch of pears from a friend at church, so I’m going to attempt a Pear Tart, and will hopefully be posting that recipe soon!
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of August 8th. As far as desserts go, school starts this week, and Kaylee has requested miniature Cars 2 cakelettes for her first day of school lunch. Her little brother is desperate to make some, and I think that she’s accommodating him. So, we’ll be making some mini-cakes out of Yummy Yellow Cake. I’ll probably also make some Doodleroo’s Snickerdoodles as well.
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of August 1st. As far as desserts go, my sister and her kids are in town! I’m so excited. I’m going to fill the cookie jar with some Oatmeal Raisin Cinnamon Chip Cookies this morning. I’ve harvested six pumpkins out of my garden, so I’ll be making a Fresh Pumpkin Pie while canning the pumpkin.
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of July 25th. As far as desserts go, I’m drowning in summer and winter squash. I’ll be making some of my Grandma Poe’s Zucchini Bread, Squash Squares, and will be coming at you with some pumpkin recipes!
Pin ItHere’s the menu for my family for the week of June 27th. Gregg is home (yay!) and Tuesday this week is our 9th wedding anniversary. As such, I’m going to attempt to create a red velvet cheesecake my friend Heather from Out of the Box Into the Kitchen recommended to me. The recipe she gave me called for a Devil’s Food cake mix, so I’m going to try to recreate the recipe real food style. I also found a cookie cutter in the shape of Lightning McQueen, and may make some Traditional Sugar Cookies and let my boys decorate some cookies. We also have a ton of birthday cake left.
