Here’s the menu plan for the week of 21 September 2009 for my family. Here’s the menu for this week for my family. As far as desserts go, I’m going to make an apple pie so that I can have pictures to go with the apple pie recipe that will be posted tonight. I’m also going to make some cookies to take camping. We’re supposed to go camping Friday night through Sunday, but that isn’t firm in concrete yet. If we don’t go, I’ll have to wing the menu for the end of the week.

As far as desserts go, I think I’m going to send my husband a box, so I’m going to make his favorite cookies, and I think the boys and I will make sugar cookies and decorate them. We’re doing the letter D this week, so we’ll likely do letter D’s, and maybe dogs and dinosaurs.
Pin ItHere’s the menu plan for the week of 24 August 2009 for my family. For desserts, I had listed for the week an apple pie and a peach cobbler, but the apples on my apple tree do not look good at all. I haven’t picked one yet that doesn’t look like it’s been ravaged by birds or worms, and I saw nothing worth writing home about in the produce section at the grocery this weekend. SO – scratch apple pie and put in pumpkin pie. I harvested a pumpkin out of the garden that I need to cook and can, so I’ll leave out enough with which to make a pie. It’s Kaylee’s favorite and that will please her. I also have left over chocolate pudding cake. YUMMY!
