Here’s my menu plan for the week of 28 September 2009 for my family. As far as desserts go, I’m going to make a peach cobbler from the yummy peaches my sister gave me yesterday, and I’m going to do some sort of cupcakes for the boys to decorate.
Pin ItThanks to a lot of prayer, and a lot of competent and caring nurses and doctors, and an awful lot of research into birth defects, premature births, and still-births funded by the March of Dimes, all of our children have the opportunity to live normal, healthy lives.
Pin ItHow I went from a die-hard member of the church of Darwin to becoming a believer in actual science. Oh, and my understanding of actual science shored up my beliefs in the Truth of Creation as explained in the book of Genesis as well.
Pin ItLast night, we had a fried fish dinner. It was quite yummy, albeit not quite “healthy” in the whole grains/good fats arena. My family is good with that (ha!) and I try to indulge fried fish or fried chicken about once a month.
Pin ItEven though baked is “healthier,” this dish is really, really good. I like to serve it with hush puppies, fried potatoes, and cole slaw.
Pin ItMUCH healthier than its name would suggest, these skillet fried potatoes are very tasty, too.
