I don’t know when you posted this, but I see that there are no comments here yet. I’m aware that yours is not a popular stance, but I wanted to let you know that I am very happy to find another Torah-observant believer, and hope to glean some helpful information from your website. I find it refreshing that you are sharing along with your beloved; you seem to make a very good team, but I also love that you give your wife a covering of sorts by participating in the blog. I, too, and my husband, are still (and ever will be) learning about how to please our Father with diet as well as with all aspects of our lives. I see everything we do and say as an act of worship. I would like it if we could be in contact with each other on a regular basis; we all need the encouragement and input from each other as we live and grow along this very new and different walk.

    Yours in Yeshua,

    Naomi Snider in Kernersville, NC

My husband and I are also Torah-observant believers who are seeking the ways of the Lord. We felt the Lord call us to observe the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week as He designed it. We are also observing the Feasts of the Lord and the dietary laws as He designed them. We live in Georgia and have always attended baptist churches. For the past two years, we have been attending a Messianic synagogue with like-minded believers. The Lord has been “de-programming” us from our “traditions” and directing our paths according to His ways. People think we have “gone off the deep end”, but that’s okay. They just don’t understand – yet. I feel the Lord is revealing these things to those who are seeking.

I read your post and just wanted to let you know that I feel the same as you. This is the first time that I have been on this website, so I’m looking forward to reading the articles and trying the recipes.

Have a blessed day in Yeshua!

Welcome Joy. We will also be observing the feasts this year. I am excited by the prospect of the many recipes and the opportunity to learn and teach and fellowship.
        Please visit often.

        God Bless,

Joy, I think that is the bottom line. We could preach till we’re blue in the face, but unless one is truly seeking truth, he just doesn’t get it. All we can do is walk in love before them and let that do the talking. I remember a specific time in my life when I actually asked God to teach me his truth, but had no idea where it would lead me. How exciting to be learning so many new “old” things! And the best thing to do IS to get into a congregation of like-minded believers who can encourage and learn from each other. And reading sites such as this one helps, too. Thank you Gregg and Hallee, for giving so much of yourselves to others.
        Shalom!
        Naomi

Hello, I’ve come across your information regarding your family keeping the levitical/dietary laws somewhere else but somehow found my way here which is great. I am grateful to see others like your family blogging on this issue as well. Our family also observes the Torah dietary laws as well as keeping the holy days. We are new to blogging and will soon be sharing our food choices on our family blog as well. Please visit, we are open to suggestions to help spread the Word. I have done the three chores you should do day/evening for 30 yrs. My home may not be “eat off the floor” clean all the time, but I am ALWYAS ready for a friend to just show up at my door for coffee or playdates!
It’s a lesson my mom taught me as a young girl and one I am teaching my two boys!

I just found your blog today as part of Menu Plan Monday’s and I bookmarked because I will definately be back. I had picked up a book at a yard sale, “What The Bible Says About Healthy Living” and read parts but it’s been sitting in my book case for quite some time now…I think I’ll pull it out and read it, as well as look for the ones you mentioned. :) May the Lord continue to bless you and your family. I am glad that I found you guys.I am a stay at home mom of 5. We struggle everyday because my hubby is the only one that is working and he is going to school to become a chef. It is difficult for me because sometimes I feel like a single mom. But I know that he is doing all of this to better our life. I love reading your posts and it encourages me to make things better and do what I need to everyday to make the house look nice and kept up.
Thank you for the post and I will keep on reading

I found your blog through Menu Plan Monday. :) I plan to pop back and read more! We eat only clean meats as well. We also keep the 7th day Sabbath. I’m interested in reading more about the feasts. I know some who keep them and others who say we don’t have to. Looking forward to your thoughts on it. :)

    Hi Halle and Gregg,

I recently stumbled across your site and have been slowly coming back to it. I have in the last year begun to look at my health in a new way. I have started making healthier choices and looking more closely to what things are made of. I had started because the more research I had done into infertility shocked me in how a lot of chemicals in food and containers can contribute to this. My husband and I have tried to have a baby for eight years. But today reading this long version of your story gives me hope in that my husband my realize that my torturing him, as he says, is really right. He had to have open heart surgery a month ago to fix something that he was born with. So now more than ever I know that the choices are better for him. Even if we are never blessed with a baby. Thanks for the sharing of your story and recipes. I know I will be a regular visitor from now on. God Bless.
