Redshirting is holding your school-aged child back an extra year, and starting them in kindergarten at the age of 6 (or first grade at the age of 7). I was bouncing around the idea of writing a post about it and tried to look up the etymology of the term and came across two interesting things: (1) the term “redshirting” as far as I can tell, has its history in sports and something to do with Freshmen wearing red shirts, and (2) there is a MAJOR criticism in the world out there for people who choose to redshirt. Typically, the criticism came from people who have a different world view than I, so I decided no more bouncing around with an idea — I’ll go ahead and write it. :-)

In this post, I will discuss the Fallacy of the Complex Question. The Fallacy of the Complex Question uses biased language in place of reasoned, rational, logical argumentation.

Pin ItMy sister, Misty, is the managing editor of her West Virginia town’s newspaper. She has been writing columns for her paper for years – sharing her family and her life, making the mundane day-to-day life sound interesting and exciting, bringing the readers of her paper into her home and making them feel like a part of the family. She is an amazing writer, and I have long hoped that she would want to write for us. She is married to Mike and has three amazing children, Hal (who is 9), Jamye (who is 7), and Jackson (who is 3).
We didn’t take our stroller with us, because the trip was impromptu. Thankfully, though, I had my Ergo in the back of the van. Scott walked or was carried by Gregg on his shoulders, and Johnathan alternated between walking and being worn by me in the Ergo. About an hour after we got there, we saw an Imax movie and the boys both fell asleep. Scott woke up as soon as the movie was over, but I just turned the Ergo around to my front and carried Jeb in it while he slept.
In continuing our discussion of Vicki Courtney’s 5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter, we reach the final Chapter 19, “The Timeless Qualities of a Virtuous Young Woman.”
Pin ItThis wasn’t a typical week for me by any stretch of the imagination. But, I thought that you might enjoy seeing the process that I went through to prepare my home for my husband’s return and to plan for Scott and Johnathan’s combined birthday party, which included out-of-town family being here. So, here it is, one of the craziest weeks of my life. I have determined that I will do this again once school starts and I do have a typical week, so that you can see that I’m not always so insanely overwhelmed with life.
Darwinists must somehow explain the introduction of completely new genetic instructions (information) for feathers, life preserving secretions, highly specific and specifically complex symbiotic relationships, instinctual migration patterns, and other wonders that never existed in more ‘simple’ forms of life.
