The fallacy of the question-begging epithet is committed when an arguer tries to evoke an emotional response that is meant to persuade others of a point that is logically questionable.

The before dinner devotions are open – it will be whatever my husband or I determines will be discussed at that time. During breakfast, however, we have a set Bible reading.
Pin ItIn this post, I will discuss the Fallacy of Begging the Question. Begging the Question introduces irrelevancy into the argument because it does not introduce any new information. Begging the Question merely reasserts the existing position (suppositions/assumptions) of the debater.
Pin ItRedshirting is holding your school-aged child back an extra year, and starting them in kindergarten at the age of 6 (or first grade at the age of 7). I was bouncing around the idea of writing a post about it and tried to look up the etymology of the term and came across two interesting things: (1) the term “redshirting” as far as I can tell, has its history in sports and something to do with Freshmen wearing red shirts, and (2) there is a MAJOR criticism in the world out there for people who choose to redshirt. Typically, the criticism came from people who have a different world view than I, so I decided no more bouncing around with an idea — I’ll go ahead and write it. :-)
In this post, I will discuss the Fallacy of the Complex Question. The Fallacy of the Complex Question uses biased language in place of reasoned, rational, logical argumentation.
Pin ItIn this post, I will discuss the Fallacy of Bifurcation, also called the Fallacy of the False Dichotomy, the Fallacy of the False Dilemma, or the Either-Or Fallacy.
Pin ItDarwinists must somehow explain the introduction of completely new genetic instructions (information) for feathers, life preserving secretions, highly specific and specifically complex symbiotic relationships, instinctual migration patterns, and other wonders that never existed in more ‘simple’ forms of life.
Pin ItThe truth is that we were all created in God’s image. We did not come about as a result of mathematically impossible chance and accident. Mutation is the current placeholder in the current secular humanist world view until a better naturalistic, materialistic explanation can be hypothesized. For now, it is the best they have, and it is extremely weak.
