The Power of a Praying Wife: Chapter 18 – His Fatherhood

Since the beginning of the 20th century, there has been an effort to denigrate men, feminize them, render them incapable of any kind of clear thought outside of Monday night football. Sitcoms and commercials make fathers out to be impotent dimwits, buffoons, idiots, while a take-charge woman cleans up the mess behind them. A Million Bonus Points

While shopping in Abu Dhabi with Gregg, we came across this purse. Gregg saw it first and directed my attention to it, then convinced me to purchase it. Back story: I LOVE purses. Thankful

Last year at this time, Gregg and I were saying that it would be the last Thanksgiving we would be apart. And here we are this year, apart, determined that this will be the last one. God has been gracious and an amazing provider in this time of economic hardship on our country, and we are thankful for the job he has, for the income that he has, and for the continued contracts that come his way while there is nothing much out there otherwise. So while a part of me wants to feel down in the dumps for missing him, I try very hard to stay thankful. Ephesians 5:20 says: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Power of a Praying Wife: Chapter 15 – His Reputation

I read in a marriage book one time to be careful with whom you share your marital problems, because it’s very easy to update friends on the problems, but we tend to forget to update on the progress. If you’re like me, you can sit there and think of friends who seem to constantly trash talk their husbands, but who rarely praise them for anything good they’ve done.
